Towera Kumwenda is a communications specialist and storyteller with experience in journalism, media leadership, and development communication. She has worked with Zodiak Broadcasting Station, where she rose to Acting Bureau Chief and currently serves as Communications and Campaigns Assistant at Plan International Malawi. Her work focuses on advocacy, youth and women’s empowerment, mental health and social change through multimedia storytelling, digital communication and campaign strategy. She is passionate about using media to amplify community voices and drive accountability. Towera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Development Communication (Distinction) from the University of Livingstonia.
