Will there be workshops in addition to panels?
Yes. Past AWiM conferences have featured a mix of plenary panels, breakout workshops and practitioner-focused sessions. Full workshop details will be published in the programme.
Do I need a visa to enter Namibia?
This depends on your nationality. As of 1 April 2025, countries that do not have a reciprocal visa exemption agreement with Namibia are required to obtain a visa before entering. Visas are available online in advance through Namibia’s e-Visa system or on arrival at designated airports and border posts. Citizens of some African countries, including South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique and others, may enter without a visa. Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Namibia and have at least three blank visa pages.
We strongly recommend checking your specific visa requirements via Namibia’s official e-services portal at eservices.mhaiss.gov.na and applying well in advance of December 2026. AWiM will provide a letter of invitation for all registered delegates who need one for their visa application.
How do I apply for a Namibia visa?
Applications can be made online through the official Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs e-services portal, where you register or log in and select “Visa on Arrival” under E-Services. Alternatively, visas can be obtained on arrival at designated entry points, though the online route is recommended for faster processing.
