Ruth Agala is a Kenyan intersectional feminist and human rights specialist with over seven years of experience advancing gender justice, policy advocacy, and campaigns across Africa and globally. She is in the final stages of completing a Master of Arts in Gender and Women’s Studies and holds a Bachelor’s degree in the same field. As a gender consultant, Ruth specializes in gender mainstreaming within the media sector, working with creatives in Kenya and Nigeria across television, film, and digital media to challenge gender stereotypes cultivating accurate representations of women and girls in the creative industry free from harmful gender norms.
