Sibongile Mpofu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at NUST, and Senior Research Associate in the Department of Strategic Communication at the University of Johannesburg. Her expertise is in journalism, strategic communications, gender and digital media. A PhD holder in Journalism, Sibongile is an extensive feminist researcher, professional journalist and educator with close to 20 years’ experience in journalism practice, gender, and education and training. She previously worked for Zimbabwe Newspapers Group as Business Editor of the Sunday News. She is currently a Board Member of the national broadcaster, the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation.
