Ndeye Fatou Diery Diagne is a Senegalese journalist, fact-checker, and author specializing in information verification, the fight against disinformation, media, and information literacy. She served as Deputy Head of Le Soleil Digital, the digital department of the national daily. Her work has been dedicated to combating disinformation through her fact-checking section, Soleil Check, which she co-founded. This section works on debunking fake news. Diery has recently published a book on disinformation and her fact-checking experience. She has also conducted an in-depth analysis of fake news dissemination mechanisms in West Africa in her book. She conducts training sessions on information verification, disinformation, and media literacy for students, journalists, public institutions, and civil society organizations. She graduated from the 47th class of CESTI, ranking top of her class in print journalism. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication for Development and a fact checking certification.
