David Omwoyo, MBS, is the Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of the Media Council of Kenya (MCK), Kenya’s independent national media regulator and media development institution. A journalist, writer, editor, and team leader with experience spanning the religious, academic, and public sectors, he was named in the Nation Media Group’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2021.
Mr Omwoyo is currently pursuing a PhD in Organisational Leadership at Columbia International University, USA. He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester and a second Master’s in Diplomacy from the Royal University of Malta. His first degree is in Journalism.
