Alinaswe Lusengo is a journalist and media professional with a strong interest in geopolitics, particularly through an African lens. Her work explores how global power dynamics shape political, economic and social realities across the continent, centring African perspectives in international debates. She is passionate about intersectional feminism, and her reporting often examines the intersections of gender, race, sexuality and power.
Alinaswe has worked for prominent publications in Africa, including Daily Maverick, where she covered identity politics, youth movements and democratic processes. She is currently pursuing her MSc in Media, Communications and Development, further deepening her engagement with global institutions, development discourse and media power. With a background in Media and Politics, she combines analytical rigour with accessible storytelling and aims to situate Africa at the heart of global geopolitical conversations.
