JudyAlice King’ori is a Kenyan journalist, civic storyteller, and media practitioner working at the intersection of journalism, community narratives, and civic participation. Her work focuses on amplifying local voices, documenting power dynamics, and exploring how media shapes public understanding of social and political issues.
Through hyperlocal reporting and community-based storytelling, she examines the challenges journalists face when covering contested civic spaces, including questions of safety, ethics, and accountability. As a journalist-activist who has experienced firsthand the risks of visible civic engagement, including legal repercussions related to protest participation, JudyAlice brings a lived perspective to conversations on media freedom, narrative power, and inclusive media systems.
