Latifa Akharbach has served as President of Morocco’s High Authority for Audiovisual Communication since December 2018 and has chaired the African Communication Regulation Authorities Network from 2022 to 2024. She previously held senior diplomatic positions, including Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Ambassador to Tunisia, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia. A former Director of the Moroccan National Radio and the Higher Institute of Information and Communication, she was also a professor and researcher for over twenty years. Holding a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Paris II, she is an author and international consultant in media and journalism.
