Ellison Elliot Shumba recently completed his Ph.D. in the School of Communications and Media Studies at the University of Johannesburg. He holds an MA in Media Studies by Research from the University of Witwatersrand and a BSc Honours degree in Media and Society Studies from the Midlands State University in Zimbabwe. Ellison has over ten years of experience in media reputation management and media analysis. His research interests encompass socio-legal studies, cybersecurity legislation, disinformation, digital diplomacy, and political communication. He is currently a consultant researching on disinformation and foreign information manipulation interference (FIMI) in Southern Africa.
